Just a few days after its launch, Pokémon Pokopia has launched a Hoppip event that allows you to not only invite Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff to your world, but also buy new furniture that’s perfect for the coming Spring season.
Although the main event is quite simple, there are some confusing parts if you don’t know where to look for key items or missing Pokémon. We’ll outline everything you need to know about the Hoppip event in Pokémon Pokopia.
How to start the Hoppip event in Pokémon Pokopia
The Hoppip event in Pokémon Pokopia runs from March 9, 4:00 PM EDT to March 24, 3:59 PM EDT. As a warning, if you’re trying to start the event on the 9th, it didn’t work for me until I time-traveled to March 10. You’ll know it’s started when you leave your home and get a notification that there’s a new Pokémon.
Head to the Pokémon Center, which is now nicely decorated with flowers, and nearby, you should spot Hoppip. Speak with Hoppip, and they will ask you to find Cotton Spores. You can’t get these Cotton Spores here, you can only find them on Dream Islands.
Where to find Cotton Spores
Talk to Drifloon, and hand him any Pokémon doll that you own. Any Dream Island during this event will have tons of Cotton Spores, so it doesn’t matter which you choose. Once you’re at the Dream Island, you’ll find floating Cotton Spores on the overworld, and even underground if you spot any caves.
The easiest way to collect Cotton Spores is to hold down the Y button and suck them into your inventory. As a reminder, you can leave and go back to the same Dream Island during the same day, but you can’t go to a new Dream Island until the next day.
When you think you’ve found all the Cotton Spores you can find, head back home and go to the Pokémon Center to find Hoppip. They will be behind the desk the whole event until you make a habitat for it.
Here’s where the main event happens. You can spend Cotton Spores for exclusive items such as a picnic blanket, flower cushion, lunch box, and much more.
