One of the new quests from the Headwinds update of Arc Raiders tasks you with scoping out cover spots across different areas of Buried City. Not only that, but you’ll have to destroy two Spotters and take one of their Spotter Relays.
Without much guidance, this quest can be daunting, especially if you don’t know the exact places to look. Don’t worry, we’re here to help, so here’s how to finish the Combat Recon quest in Arc Raiders.
How to complete Combat Recon in Arc Raiders
First off, you must scope out three separate areas in Buried City to complete the Combat Recon quest in Arc Raiders:
Scope out a cover spot in the Parking Garage Staircases
Scope out a cover spot in the buses near Marano Park
Scope out a cover spot in the attics around Main Street
Parking Garage Staircases
The first spot you need to scope out is on the top floor of the Parking Garage staircase. It’s in the northwestern corner of the Parking Garage, so climb up all the way until you reach the roof. Be careful here, as a Bombadier often spawns with Spotters.
If you do see the Spotters here, it would be a good time to destroy them for the quest. Otherwise, you should see the interaction to scope just before exiting the stairwell.
Marano Park buses
Next, head to the southwestern side of Marano Park. Right up against one of the buildings near Piazza Roma is an abandoned bus. Scope it out just outside of the bus, and you can move on to the next location.
Main Street attics
The final spot you need to find is the roof on top of this building in Plaza Rosa. Use a zipline or parkour your way to the top using other rooftops, then open the attic window to drop inside. There should be an interaction available to scope out near one of the attic windows.
Where to find Spotters
To destroy two Spotters and collect a Spotter Relay, these are some of the common areas you can find Spotters in Arc Raiders:
Parking Garage (Buried City)
Marano Park (Buried City)
Launch Towers (Spaceport)
Rocket Assembly (Spaceport)
Checkpoint (Blue Gate)
Bombadiers need Spotters to know where to bomb, so if you see a Bombadier, you will likely find at least two Spotters alongside it. Just be careful, since it’s dangerous to call attention to a Bombadier if you don’t have safe cover.
