As part of the Headwinds update, the With A View quest will have you face your ultimate nemesis: the random number generator. That is, of course, scavenging for items while other raiders try to do the same thing, oftentimes choosing to kill other players for that sweet Ion Sputter drop.
Whether you like it or not, Stella Montis will become your most visited map, at least for this fresh batch of quests. Here is how to complete the With A View Quest in Arc Raiders.
How to obtain a Rotary Encoder in Arc Raiders
The very first thing you need to do is to locate a Rotary Encoder, a rare Exodus item found in containers. While these can be scavenged throughout Stella Montis, you are most likely to encounter them at Exodus areas, such as Assembly and the Business Center (though Medical Research is also a good zone to farm).
Other than relying on luck, you must also take speed into account. Many raiders will go through every container in the map, meaning that you could come out empty-handed during most of your raids. Take this into account, and should you spawn mid-round, you are better off surrendering and trying again.
How to activate the server switch in Arc Raiders
Next up, you will have to use your Rotary Encoder to activate a server switch at any of the Control Rooms near the Assembly Line. There are two Control Rooms at Assembly Workshops and one in Assembly, the latter found on the upper floor.
Once inside the control rooms, locate the yellow server switch and use the Rotary Encoder to activate it. Then, interact with the nearby computer, found next to the lever, to help identify the correct paths for the quest.
Where to find an Ion Sputter in Arc Raiders
Just like with the Rotary Encoder, you will have to visit Exodus zones in Stella Montis in the hopes of finding an Ion Sputter inside containers. This item is even rarer, so you will probably find one of these after multiple raids.
Given how unforgiving Stella Montis can be, be sure to equip Augments that grant Safe Pockets. That way, you’ll be able to store an Ion Sputter, should you encounter one, and prevent its tragic loss if you are killed by ARC enemies or fellow raiders.
