Guild Wars 2 is headed to its fifth anniversary and already is swinging hard this year with the new expansion, Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire coming out in under a month. To make this anniversary even bigger, ArenaNet is holding a contest for users to create their own weapons for the game. Just head over to the official contest page for complete rules and templates.
This contest runs through October 8 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time (UTC-7). Simply download the .ZIP file that has the full rules, guidelines, and templates and design your weapon. Each entrant can submit 3 entries, so make a few awesome ideas and see which stick. After October 8, ArenaNet will choose 20 finalists for the Guild Wars 2 community to vote on. After voting ends, “[t]he top three winning concepts will be used as inspiration for the creation of new in-game weapons!” In addition to getting your design used for in-game weapons, there are other prizes that the finalists will receive including gems, shirts, art books, and more!
