Out of all the activities available in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, the most nerve-wracking are probably the underwater shipwreck treasure hunts. Why? Other than the fact that Edward will have to hold his breath for an impossible amount of time, there are sharks and other creatures everywhere.
The Davy Jones’ Locker achievement is no exception, but rather the prime example of this, given the task at hand. So, if you’re struggling to find the lowest point in the map, continue reading to learn whether you’ll end up fighting Cthulhu to reach it (spoiler alert: not really).
Where to find the lowest point on the map in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced
Before you sail toward the spot in question, you must first unlock the Diving Bell. This is done by playing through the game’s campaign, most specifically Sequence 6, Memory 1 (Diving for Medicines). Once you do, you’ll be free to visit underwater shipwrecks. Now equipped, head to the Castillo de Jagua region located to the east of Tulum and locate The Black Trench underwater shipwreck (184,425).
After you go underwater, locate the shipwreck in the middle of the map. While avoiding any sharks biting you to death, swim down past the sunken ship and continue to swim down until you reach the bottom and find yourself in a sort of underwater corridor.
At the north end of the corridor, you’ll find a Diving Bell that once belonged to another pirate, who was sadly crushed by it. The Diving Bell is the lowest point in Black Flag Resynced. As a reward for reaching it, you’ll be awarded the Davy Jones’ Locker achievement.
Continue exploring the area to collect reales and other trinkets, or use your Diving Bell to surface back to the Jackdaw.
Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
