Assassins Creed games have always been about taking creative liberties with the historical content they set their world around. However with the addition of Canon Mode, Ubisoft is looking to maintain historical accuracy over creativity.
This is definitely a first for Ubisoft and I am definitely looking forward to seeing how both modes fare out with more detail.
