Samar Studio has released a new trailer for their game, The Front, and they announced a beta test alongside the trailer. The Front focuses on a world about to collapse due to the conquest of a ravaging empire. Players will have to travel back in time with the help of a super artificial intelligence (AI) named Aurora. The game boasts a plethora of features.
Players can collect materials such as wood and stone to develop structures for shelter and agriculture. This method is crucial for survival against the world’s harsh conditions. What’s even more dangerous than the world is the people that come to raid the players’ newly built homes. Enemies will come packing fire, poison, and more to destroy everything the player makes, but they can be rerouted through traps and other precautions put in place. If the groundwork is too intense, tower defense is another option. From these spires, the player can access traps like springboards, shock traps, turrets, and more to destroy any invaders.
The world doesn’t offer only things to avoid, but also things to claim. Aircraft will drop resources and other goodies which can be collected by reaching the landing site of said resources. But beware because other survivors will be gunning for the loot as well. A way to get a leg up on people trying to take the airdrop is vehicles. The Front offers battle tanks, attack helicopters, and other metal beasts of destruction to show any potential raider that the player means business.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. Night vision, reconnaissance, and even more features than that are on show for a deep gameplay experience. The Front will be holding a beta test, and anyone can apply by filling out this survey. Happy hunting.
