EA’s Bioware just teased a short preview for their upcoming game Anthem. The video, which lasted for around three seconds, showed footage of what seems to be a snippet of a brand-new gameplay trailer that is set to be revealed at this year’s E3.
Bioware also spoke to Eurogamer and shared what fans can expect from them at the upcoming gaming conference where the developer is set to release a new trailer, including gameplay footage, and a combat demo. Furthermore, Bioware will also be hosting a panel to discuss Anthem further.
The upcoming trailer will delve into Anthem’s story, its characters, and the monsters players can expect to encounter. Also, the developer will showcase gameplay footage that will feature some of the game’s mechanics such as flying, combat, and looting system.
Ever since Anthem was announced during E3 2017 with an initial release date of Fall 2018. However, Bioware revealed that the game will be delayed into 2019 after rising tensions at EA following the poor performance of Mass Effect: Andromeda. However, EA and Bioware promised to examine what went wrong with Andromeda and hopefully they will not repeat previous mistakes.
Anthem will be an open-world science fiction RPG that will put players in a post-apocalyptic setting. Players can expect an exciting adventure in an alien world. Given the higher stakes after weak sales of previous games, Anthem will undoubtedly be the game to make or break the studio’s already damaged reputation. The question now is, will they succeed?
