Esports is further infringing on traditional sports territory with a foray into yet another new genre, talk radio. Gamasutra says Bleacher Report will be adding an hour long eSports news talk program to its 24/7 sports coverage station. "IGN eSports today" will air weekday mornings on XM Satellite Radio and will feature news, interviews, and analysis of big tournaments.
I'll be curious to see how they manage to tackle eSports news across multiple games in under an hour. I guess Sportscenter manages to do it, so it can't be impossible. I'll be listening to see how it goes!
