In their seemingly endless battle against giving the community what they want, Blizzard has shut down popular (and non-profit) World of Warcraft vanilla server Nostralius. This means the tens of thousands of WoW players looking for that level 60 cap classic experience provided by the original game must once again look elsewhere to play.
With so many in the community wishing for a "classic" WoW experience, you would think Blizzard would be receptive. You would think that anyway...
A petition for Blizzard to resurrect the popular server is just 500 signatures short of 25,000. The petition was created by the 30 volunteers of Nostralius who wish to continue to help the community thrive, and give so many players what the publisher won't. WoW gamers across the board are sounding off on Twitter...
I am very glad blizzard is suing nostralius

@Celestalon Wish you guys would look at how many ppl played Nostralius and realize a vanilla server would actually thrive.

Am I a monster if I giggle every time I see someone exclaiming: "What the hell, Blizzard pruned Nostralius?!"?

@Blizzard_Ent yo if you guys are gonna shut down Nostralius, make your own vintage servers? If you build it, they will come

Nostralius has until April 10th to close for those of you looking for one last ride, but I don't think any amount of petitioning will save the server guys. Blizzard will shut it down, and next week another server will pop up for all those classic gamers to enter the grind once again.
