Many fans of the various work from Capcom have been anticipating the announcement to follow a mysterious countdown that they had posted on their site. After all of the guessing, rumors, and hype, there was never any confirmation of what would be revealed once it reached zero. But the wait is over and with the end of the countdown, Capcom revealed the teaser trailer for Street Fighter 6!
It has been a few years since fighting game fans got Street Fighter V, but now they have tossed out the roman numerals and tossed players into a new arena! Of course, the teaser itself doesn’t come with much information about the game and the teaser only shows off two iconic characters. However, if the graphics of this teaser are anything to note, then we might be seeing our favorite fighters in the most definition available with today’s technology.
Along with the reveal of Street Fighter 6, Capcom has also released a trailer to unveil the Capcom Fighting Collection. This collection title will include a ton of classic fighting games from Capcom over the last 35 years, such as Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire, Red Earth, Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness, and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. So, if there is a retro fighting game that you have wanted to see hit a current-gen console, it is set to release on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on June 24th.
As for Street Fighter 6, we won’t know any details regarding a release date or platforms until more news is released. Currently, they have posted that news will drop this Summer, so we will just have to wait until then.
