Publisher Whitethorn Games and developer Peachy Keen Games have announced that chill cat café simulator Calico would be receiving a considerable content update in the form of Calico: Pawsome Edition, which releases on all the platforms Calico is on.
The Pawsome Edition brings large amounts of new content to the game, with new animals scattered across the island, a visual overhaul, customizable wallpapers and floor, and a new cooking mini-game. This comes with some UI changes and general quality-of-life improvements.
The game gives players an opportunity to design their own cat café. They can decide how it looks and must ensure there are refreshments available for potential customers. Probably, more importantly, they need to find some animals to feature and will need to get out and about on the island to befriend some interactable cats.
Calico isn’t really to give you an insight into the struggles of running a cat café though. It’s intended as a relaxing, stress-free experience, and they aren’t afraid of making things a little unusual. Magic can be used for a number of different effects, including growing cats to enormous sizes, so they can be used as transport.
Calico: Pawsome Edition is available now for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
