Showing off an unknown world and giving little premise as to what is going on in a classic way to grab the attention of dark story lovers. While it doesn’t seem like a horror game as much as an action game with a horror-like theme, the trailer for Lightbulb Crew’s title Othercide that Focus Home Interactive featured during PAX East 2020 shows a strange world.
Even after watching the trailer, it is hard to say what exactly we can be in store for or what the story is about. The creatures shown seem to be of their own design, although I do see a few possible inspirations in there. But the fact is, the weapons were shown and the fact that it is all in black-and-white with only red as the color that pops out tells me that this is going to be an action-RPG of some kind.
At least the wait isn’t long as the game is set to launch sometime this summer on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. We are sure to be in store for plenty of new games and updates on anticipated titles from PAX East 2020, but this is a strong start to the show. What do you think we can expect from Othercide?
