Open House Games has released a really nice dev diary video talking about their work on A Tale of Paper. They talk about the gameplay style, their drive for a resonating story, and passion for making a name for themselves in the gaming industry. For those not familiar with Open House Games, they’re a 3-person studio that’s been working with Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain as part of the PlayStation Talents program. In fact, the project won the team a V PlayStation Talents Award.
The team was nice enough to send me a review copy of the game and although I’m only on the first level, I can say that it’s definitely a unique game. It pulls some vibes from the Little Nightmares series but has enough going for it to be its own game. It’s got some really moody visuals combined with a dream-like whimsy that I think most people are going to like. You can expect to see a review from me this coming week after I play some more. The game can be picked up digitally for PlayStation 4 on October 21st for $14.99 from the PS Store!
