In a rather unprecedented form of gameplay reveal, developers Supermassive Games and publisher 2K Games have shown off the full prologue for their soon-to-launch choice-based horror story game The Quarry. As anybody who has played a title from Supermassive’s catalog would know, the prologue section of the game is the start of the story. It sets the stage for the harrowing events that follow, giving you just a taste of what’s in store.
During the prologue, teenage camp counselors Laura (played by Siobhan Williams) and her boyfriend Max (played by Skyler Gisondo) drive to Hackett’s Quarry Summer Camp one night earlier than they were scheduled to arrive. Unfortunately for them, things do not go as planned.
I’m still surprised that the team over at Supermassive is even creating a second title for this year as they are currently working to release the finale title for their Dark Pictures Anthology series later this year. Still, I always enjoy their games and look forward to having a title for both this Summer and the holiday season!
The Quarry is set to release on June 10th for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Interested players can pre-order the game name in either digital or physical edition. You can also find out more from our coverage of the game’s initial announcement.
