As promised, Bungie has released the first trailer for Destiny 2. Although no actual in-game footage is revealed the whole thing is full of exposition to set up the premise of Destiny 2 and we even get an explanation of why gear and weapons won't be carried over. The short version is, that both the city and the tower have fallen to enemy forces and everything was destroyed. It's now up to the survivors to plan a counterattack and fight back! Also there will be loot, lots of it.
Both Lance Reddick and Nathan Fillion return to reprise their roles as Commander Zavala and Cayde-6, respectively.
I have to say that Nathan Fillion's hilarious portrayal of Cayde-6 alone makes this trailer worth watching.
Check it out for yourself and watch as Commander Zavala and Cayde-6 explain the events that have led up to the game's sequel to their respective forces in order to inspire them and rally them up to go into battle, also read as, get the audience hyped for Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 is coming to PC, XBox One, PlayStation 4, and is officially scheduled for release on September 8, 2017. Pre-ordering will give players access to the Beta.
