Square Enix just released a new Shadow of the Tomb Raider Gameplay Trailer that contains 10-minute footage of the game. The preview focused on the title's new hub world, Paititi, which is said to be the largest hub world in Tomb Raider's long history.
Players will be able to reach Paititi after a period of time in the game. There, players can explore a civilization that is untouched by the modern world and is broken up of districts where Lara can discover tombs and side quests. The marketplace in Paititi will also allow players to trade new items and even pet an Alpaca as shown in the trailer.
The game will also feature a new immersion mode, which will allow NPCs to speak in their native language to make the experience more authentic. Of course, this mode can be switched off, depending on the player's preference.
Moreover, the 10-minute preview showed Lara leaving the hub world to embark on a mission that showed her performing her signature stunts such as climbing, swimming and exploring the tombs. The difficulty in the video was set to "hard," which is why the usual white paint markers indicating where players can climb is unavailable.
Square Enix's Shadow of the Tomb Raider is scheduled to launch on September 4 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
