Concord is Firewalk Studios first game which is going to be a live-service hero shooter with a unique IP and will be available on the PS5 and PC later this month. However, the thing that makes the game unique from its competition could also be the reason why it might have a hard time in the market - it costs $39.99 to play.
For now, many fans are leaving the jury out on whether this will impact Concord’s success, but Firewalk studio has already shared their tentative plans for the first 2 seasons of Concord on the PlayStation Blog.
While Concord will not have a Battle Pass and the game is said to offer better rewards to its players, the entry price is still too steep in a market where the best competition is free-to-play.
Concord releases on August 23rd for the PS5, and PC via Steam and Epic Games.
