The Arcade Crew has officially announced that Cross Blitz, the upcoming tactical RPG deckbuilder is finally coming to Steam early access on November. They’ve also shared a new trailer which showcases its gameplay mechanics, as well as the story elements.
Fables and Tusk Tales
Players will have the choice of going on an RPG adventure in Fables mode which has over 30+ hours of content with multiple storylines or engaging in the Tusk Tales mode which offers a rogue-lite experience similar to something like Slay the Spire. There are over five characters to choose from, and each of them has their own cards, abilities, and relics to experiment with. Apart from that, there are over 200 cards to build decks from, and there is a crafting aspect that lets you get better cards.
Cross Blitz Deck Building
I’m addicted to deckbuilders, and I blame Slay the Spire for this. The problem is, it’s really hard to come by one that’s actually good and is trying to do something new rather than doing the same thing without the necessary polish. Cross Blitz on the other hand though, is shaping up to be exactly what I need right now. I enjoyed the demo a lot, and appreciate how fast-paced each battle was.
There are minor bugs here and there, but that’s to be expected as the title is releasing in early access first. If you’re like me and love a good deckbuilder that doesn’t take up all your time, this is one to look out for.
