Following their participation at Gamescom 2022, Round8 Studio and NEOWIZ takes away three remarkable awards for their upcoming title Lies of P. At the start of the event, their game won Most Wanted Sony PlayStation Game award, which was followed by both the Best Action Adventure Game and Best Role Playing Game awards later during the event. We’ve been following this game since it was first announced, so it is nice to see the title getting proper recognition while it is still in development.
Of course, they didn’t show up to the event just to accept some rewards! They released an all-new gameplay trailer. This gave those looking forward to the game and introduced others to the dark atmospheric, action-heavy take on the story of Pinocchio.
As the puppet mechanoid Pinocchio, players will wind their way through the streets of a ruined city, crafting weapons from the materials found in the world and interacting with the remaining few who manage to survive in this hellscape. The more lies told, the more human players become, with all the advantages and disadvantages it entails.
Lies of P is planned to release in 2023 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and as part of Game Pass. What do you think of the latest gameplay trailer?
