Devolver Digital has been one studio where it seems like you can never really know what to expect. Each year, they do a showcase and it is never really the same as the previous ones to it. Even when we were locked away in 2020, they released the Devolverland Expo, which was a completely unique way to visit a showcase and check out their featured games.
This year, they reminded us of our most beloved video game mascot - Volvy! No, you don’t remember Volvy? Well, surely they’ll be able to refresh your memory with a flashback to all the various media outlets he has been a part of. Once they jog your memory of how much you love Volvy, be sure to check out some of the merch options on the Devolver website.
Before the showcase, they revealed a handful of titles, but then they rolled into the brief history of Volvy and his creator. Following all the build-up they lead us on stage to meet the new and improved Volv-E - an automated video game-creating machine.
