In this game, you play as Lucky with her titular character and horse, with the name of “Spirit.” Let’s talk for a moment about the story. Lucky moved from a large city to the small town of Miradero. She moved with her father, and he was a railroad builder. While riding the train into Miradero, Lucky saw a wild horse and immediately fell in love with him. This mustang was later found in a barn within Miradero. Lucky and Spirit later became inseparable.
After watching the trailer, I realized that the game is not for me. I am thirty+ years past the target audience’s age. I showed it to my daughter to get her opinion of it. Her response: she liked it. I asked for more information. She said, “I like horses.” I took note of the gameplay where the climbing reminded me of Tomb Raider and Uncharted. Saying that the game is not for me is not in any way a slight. All games have a target audience and my daughter is that audience. She loves the Spirit show and wants to see the movie. I can only imagine that the game is something any fan would want to play.
