Last year the news dropped that Sony would be pulling out of E3 entirely for its 2019 iteration. Now it appears that EA will be following suit as the company has just announced that it has no plans for an E3 press conference this year. Instead EA plans to replace the press conferences with influencer live streams at their annual EA Play event. EA Play has served as a lead up to E3 for the last few years and is happening on June 7-9.
The event expects to showcase new info on Battlefield V, Battlefront II, Apex Legends and various sports titles. There are also expectations we may get our first glimpses at Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 3 and an unnamed Need For Speed title. I am also hoping we might get our first looks at the Command & Conquer Tiberium Dawn and Red Alert remasters! Registration for the event has not yet opened so keep an eye glued to the official page to get in once it opens.
