The sixth installment in the Forza Horizon series is upon us, and fans are extremely excited to get to race through the streets of Japan, a dream come true for them.
Announced back in September 2025 during the annual Tokyo Game Show, you might be wondering what you can expect from a game as anticipated as this. Look no further: here is everything you need to know about Forza Horizon 6.
What is the release date for Forza Horizon 6?
Forza Horizon 6 will release on May 19, 2026.
What platforms will Forza Horizon 6 release on?
Forza Horizon 6 will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC on the above release date, and will be included in Game Pass Ultimate. Forza Horizon 6 will release on PS5 later in the year, with a date yet to be confirmed.
What price is Forza Horizon 6 launching at?
Forza Horizon 6’s Standard Edition will be priced at $69.99.
Are there any special editions of Forza Horizon 6?
Yes, Forza Horizon 6 has two special editions available for purchase. The Deluxe Edition ($99.99) includes the base game, the Car Pass, and a Welcome Pack. Then, the Premium Edition (119.99) includes everything in the Deluxe Edition, plus two Expansions, VIP Membership, the Time Attack Car Pack, the Italian Passion Car Pack, and Early Access, beginning on May 15.
Additionally, everyone who pre-orders any Forza Horizon 6 edition will receive an exclusive Ferrari J50. No physical collector’s edition has been announced.
How does Forza Horizon 6 gameplay work?
As in previous installments in the series, the player will take part in the famous Horizon Festival. With a wristband progression system, you will progress through the open-world game by winning races and challenges. This, in turn, will reward you with new and faster cars.
Where is Forza Horizon 6 set and how is it implemented?
As noted above, Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan, a destination fans have long craved. However, things will be different this time around, as the location is far more ingrained in the game’s DNA than the car selection. While you can visit landmark locations such as the surroundings of Mount Fuji and the streets of Tokyo, the developers will introduce the Collector’s Journal system.
Inspired by stamp collecting, Playground Games will enable player progress by rewarding those who explore Japan. Players will be able to take photos of the most iconic places in Tokyo, adding these to their journal.
Another feature introduced in Forza Horizon 6 will be the Car Meets, inspired by the Daikoku Car Meet, a spontaneous gathering deeply rooted in Japanese culture. With three locations on the map, players will be able to meet each other, show their cars, customize them, and download designs.
Is there a demo for Forza Horizon 6?
Currently, there is no demo available for Forza Horizon 6, and there have been no announcements on the matter. While FH3 and FH4 had demos back in the day, FH5 didn’t release a demo at all, so it’s possible that Forza Horizon 6 won’t have one.
