Once you make it to Bleak Beach in Pokémon Pokopia, your main quest will end up being ‘Brighten Things Up,’ which asks you to light up the town using electricity to awaken Mosslax. Just like the ‘Yawn Up A Storm’ quest in Withered Wasteland, this one will require you to complete a bunch of smaller requests to get done. How to complete ‘Brighten Things Up’ quest in Pokémon Pokopia
You will get this quest once you talk to Trubbish and follow the sounds that they hear behind one of the walls at Bleak Beach. Once you break them down, you’ll spot Mosslax, whom you need to awaken using electricity throughout the town. Here are the different tasks you must complete during this quest to wake up Mosslax:
1. Talk to Meowth to summon Pawmi and have Pawmi light up some streetlights using their Generate ability.
2. Once enough have lit up, talk to Mosslax, and a flower should grow on their head.
3. Talk to Torchic and build the Resort Meal Prep habitat.
4. After enough streetlights are lit, talk to Professor Tangrowth again, and they’ll lead you to Peakychu.
5. Talk to Trubbish and bring them to the lighthouse. You can light it up by breaking the block that’s stopping water from reaching the water wheel, then connecting utility poles from there up to the lighthouse.
6. Once Peakychu has made it to Mosslax, talk to them, and Peakychu will ask you to make a Shell Lamp for Mosslax. Craft one, place it in Mosslax’s cave, then have a Pokémon with the Generate ability light it.
7. Go to the windmill with Peakychu, and add a streetlight near utility poles connected to the windmill. Connect as many utility poles around as you can to light up the streets.
8. Talk to Mareep and build the Overgrowth Vending Machine habitat for them.
9. Talk to Torchic and follow them to the furnace by the sea that can generate electricity. Add fuel to the furnace to power it.
10. Talk to Piplup and follow them to the waterwheel if you haven’t already begun generating electricity from it.
11. Talk to Peakychu and help them connect utility poles to the large device. Connect the poles on either side of the device, and make sure it’s connected by at least the three main power sources (furnace, windmill, waterwheel)
Once you’ve done all of this, have Peakychu absorb electricity from the device, and head back to Mosslax. It will finally be enough energy to wake up Mosslax, and the clouds will part, completing this quest!
If at any point you don’t see speech bubbles appear to continue a part of the quest, it may mean you haven’t lit up enough streetlights or haven’t connected utility poles correctly. Speech bubbles appearing always mean a new quest objective, so don’t ignore them.
