What is the story in Valor Mortis?

Valor Mortis is set in the 19th century during Napoleon’s reign, and you play as a soldier in his Grande Armée who has risen from the dead. What is the gameplay like for Valor Mortis?

Valor Mortis is a first-person action Soulslike that gives you the ability to perform ranged and melee attacks, alongside some supernatural abilities. Similar to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, there is a posture system that requires you to hit or parry enemies many times before they are staggered, allowing you to deal a critical blow. 

On top of that, with every death comes experience, so even if you think you’re failing, you’re slowly becoming stronger and learning from your mistakes. And yes, just like the Ghostrunner games, there are even some thrilling parkour sections.
