Universal Pictures and Blumhouse have finally revealed the full trailer for the upcoming video game film adaptation Five Nights At Freddy’s! The hit indie horror game made famous by YouTube streamers like Markiplier and CoryxKenshin has spawned a multitude of spin-offs in various forms of media; Books, toys, fan fiction, and now film. This long-running series gets its big-screen debut this Halloween.
The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through. The terrifying horror game phenomenon becomes a blood-chilling cinematic event, as Blumhouse: the producer of M3GAN, The Black Phone and The Invisible Man brings Five Nights at Freddy’s to the big screen.
The trailer sets the premise of the film's plot and showcases Josh Hutcherson as the lead. We can also see many great shots of the animatronics of the horrific pizza parlor. Lastly, we get a sneak peek at Cory Kenshin as a taxi driver in the trailer. Cory is a YouTuber that began his fame by streaming Five Nights At Freddy’s.
Five Nights At Freddy’s is set to release in theaters and streaming on Peacock on October 27.
