Well, this is a little awkward. The Simpsons got a couch gag featuring a group of characters from Fortnite shortly after America’s favorite animated family landed in Fortnite.
The Fortnite-themed couch gag came in Sunday night’s episode of season 37 of the show titled “Bad Boys… For Life?” where Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie come home to find Peely, Fishsticks, and three other mascots of the live-service battle royale shooter sitting on their couch. When they pull out their weapons, everybody runs except for Peely, who slips and slides on the floor for the family turns him into a giant banana split hot fudge sundae.
The couch gag is part of a collaboration between Fortnite and The Simpsons for a mini-season titled Fortnite Chapter 6: Mini Season 2, which features an island modeled after Springfield and skins of Homer, Marge, and all their family and friends. In turn, The Simpsons will have weekly animated shorts featuring Fortnite all month long.
Fortnite Chapter 6: Mini Season 2 will run through November 29.
