Are you a Fortnite player who feels a bit burnt out on the new spin that the game’s taken since its launch? Well, luckily for you, Epic Games is running it back just in time for daylight savings with the all-new season for Fortnite, aptly titled “OG”. This new but old season takes players back to chapter 1, where it all began.
Beginning today, players can revisit iconic places such as Titled Towers and a more retro-looking version of the Item Shop that we all have come to know and love. The new battle pass; the OG Pass allows players to unlock over 50 different older-themed items. Additionally, players can purchase older skins from the OG Shop. This may be the time for players to nab those skins that they haven’t seen in a fortnight. Pun intended.
Though going back to its roots may be a nice change of pace for veteran Fortnite players, those of us who are later to the game are going to be facing an uphill battle as we become familiar with an island map that’s been long-forgotten. Only time will tell what zany new idea Epic Games will bring with its next season in 2024 to shake things up.
