Do you like FPS games? Are you tired of the same ones being remade with just a new filter over and over? Well, FragPunk is here to take FPS games to a whole new level. FragPunk is a 5v5 competitive FPS developed by Bad Guitar Studio, with an incredibly unique economy system and characters with abilities that change the game while keeping it fair.
The problem with FPS games that feature characters with abilities, like Overwatch, Apex Legends, or Valorant, is that there's often an imbalance. Some characters feel miles ahead, while others feel almost useless. FragPunk strikes a perfect balance between gunplay and abilities, ensuring that every character is useful if you learn how to play them.
When it comes to economy-based shooters like Valorant or CS:GO, you usually earn points to spend each round on guns and equipment. FragPunk takes a different route that adds more strategy and excitement. Instead of a point-buy system, you have access to each primary weapon once and each specialty secondary weapon twice. If you die in a round with that weapon, it's gone until you either pick up another one off the floor or pull a shard card that grants you access again.
I played the FragPunk alpha and was absolutely blown away. The alpha felt like a fully polished game; if you had told me it was the final build, I would have been completely satisfied. It felt more refined than many full releases on the market today. Despite no official release date or time frame yet, I'm eagerly anticipating a beta and a full release soon because FragPunk is destined to be a hit.
Stay tuned for more FragPunk updates, an official release date will be coming soon for PC via Steam, and Xbox Series X|S.
