Disney Villainous: Treacherous Tides
The Disney Villainous universe is growing again—and this time, it’s making waves. Treacherous Tides, the newest expandalone in the series, brings two fresh villains into the fold: Tamatoa from Moana and the long-awaited debut of Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean—the first live-action villain to join the game! As a longtime Villainous fan, I’m thrilled to see more expansions, but let me just say: YESSSSS PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN!!!
Treacherous Tides launches at Target on July 21 and is now available for pre-order on Target.com. Wider retail release begins August 1.
In gameplay, each villain has their own objective to complete in order to win. Davy Jones must hunt down and reveal five Treasure Tokens across the seas, then defeat the Heroes guarding them to claim dominion over the oceans. Tamatoa, true to his shiny-loving self, must steal the Heart of Te Fiti from Moana, keep Maui from reclaiming his hook, and deliver both prized possessions to his Lair. Each objective plays into the character’s personality perfectly—adding even more charm and strategy to the Villainous lineup.
Star Wars Villainous: Cold Tactics
Meanwhile, the Star Wars Villainous universe grows colder and more calculating with the addition of Cold Tactics, featuring Grand Admiral Thrawn and Count Dooku. This expansion hits stores nationwide on August 1. Target will carry a special edition featuring an exclusive sleeve and a pearlescent Grand Admiral Thrawn mover—perfect for collectors.
Players commanding Thrawn must efficiently control his sector by collecting artifacts, deploying the 7th Fleet, and using Ambition to flip and Occupy each location in service of the Empire. As Count Dooku, the path to power means manipulating Organizations, defeating Jedi, and proving to Darth Sidious that you are the true master of the galaxy.
Whether you’re diving into the deep seas with Davy Jones or navigating the stars with Thrawn, it’s always exciting to see a new Villainous expansion. I can’t wait to see who gets added next!
