There’s always another Magic: The Gathering deck to build, which means there’s usually another excuse to pick up sleeves, a deck box, or a playmat to match. Gamegenic’s Reality Fracture lineup is giving me quite a few of those excuses. Between the artwork and the color choices, I think this is one of the best-looking collections they’ve put together.
But before we get into the individual products, I need to talk about that Jace Blue. Every product featuring it has the perfect shade of blue. I’ll be looking for these products for every single one of my decks with blue in it, which is admittedly a pretty low number. Because, you know… Green go brrrrr.
Deck Boxes For Your Next Commander Build
The collection includes several deck box options, with the Squire Plus 100+ XL and Sidekick Pro 100+ XL offering a way to display your commander through an included removable Slide Card Case. Both feature magnetic closures and Gamegenic’s convertible cover system, which lets you attach the cover underneath the box during play. The Sidekick Pro also includes a drawer for tokens or accessories.
The Squire Plus features Overwrite the Multiverse artwork, while the Sidekick Pro comes in versions representing Fatehold, Konstrari, Stingerquill, Theorix, and Vigorbloom. That gives you a choice between a full-art look and a box themed around your preferred school.
I like being able to identify a deck without opening its box, especially when several decks are coming along for Commander night. Having the commander visible also makes the box feel like part of the deck’s presentation.
The Bastion 100+ XL brings Charge the Sanctum artwork to a compact hard-shell box, with a window for displaying your commander or top card. Meanwhile, the Face Yourself Soft Dynacrate 100+ XL includes an adjustable Sizemorph divider for organizing decks of different sizes. Gamegenic notes that sleeve choice can affect the advertised capacities.
Great Artwork, With One Small Sleeve Complaint
The Premium Art Sleeves feature designs including Ajani, Path of Vengeance, Chandra, Chill of Compliance, Garruk of the Veil, Nissa, Leyline Tamer, and Overwrite the Multiverse. Each pack contains 105 textured sleeves, giving Commander players enough for a full deck with a few extras.
Visually, though, the sleeves are where I have my one small complaint. Some of them look a little funny with the Magic logo interrupting the design in the bottom corner. The artwork is already doing plenty to sell me on the sleeves, and on some versions the branding pulls my attention away from it.
That doesn’t take away from how much I like the collection overall. I’d just prefer the artwork to have a little more room to speak for itself.
Playmats That Embrace Reality Fracture
Gamegenic’s playmat selection includes Prime, Shiny, and Double-Sided options. The Double-Sided Playmats are particularly fitting for this set, pairing Edgar, Ancient Bloodlord with Edgar, Moonlit Sovereign, or Kiora of Salt and Sand with Kiora of Fire and Ashes. Each gives you two artworks to switch between, with flat stitching around the edges.
Getting both versions of a character on one playmat is a fun way to carry the set’s identity onto the table. It also saves you from choosing just one of the two designs.
Something For The Collection, Too
For collectors, the Overwrite the Multiverse Zip-Up Album 18-Pocket offers space for up to 360 sleeved cards across 20 side-loading pages, with a rigid cover and zipper closure. The same artwork also appears on the acrylic Double Life Counter, which tracks totals from 0 to 99 and has adjustable dial sensitivity.
I appreciate having accessories beyond deck boxes and sleeves in the collection. Sometimes you want something for the cards you’re collecting, and sometimes you just want your life counter to match the rest of your setup. I have a shelf of albums with cards from every set from 2024 to current and most of them have blank spines so it’s nice having a binder with a design for the set being collected.
Final Thoughts
Gamegenic’s Reality Fracture collection is one of its strongest lineups visually, in my opinion. Some of the sleeve designs would look better with less prominent branding, but there’s plenty here that I’d happily pick up for my decks. And that Jace Blue? Absolutely the highlight for me. My green decks might still outnumber everything else, but my blue decks deserve to look this good. Looking for more gear or a new deck to put in it?
