After a long silence since they first announced Hogwarts Legacy, Warner Bros Games and Avalanche Software have finally revealed more details about their Harry Potter-based title! To do this, they provided a full State of Play experience for the game, providing fourteen minutes of gameplay and a behind-the-scenes developer video.
Honestly, I was surprised to see how long they went without providing any updates on the game given how widely anticipated it was from the moment they revealed it two years ago. But we finally got an in-depth look into the gameplay, including character customization, and the variety of spells, adventures, missions, locations, and characters that players will encounter as a student at Hogwarts.
Players will be joining as a brand new fifth-year student with a unique ability to manipulate powerful ancient magic, leading them to live the unwritten and embark on a dangerous journey to uncover a hidden truth of the wizarding world. Throughout their adventure, they will grow their character’s abilities by mastering powerful spells, brewing potions, and harvesting magical plants as they face off against deadly enemies.
Fans should prepare to entire the 1800s version of the wizarding world as Hogwarts Legacy is planned to release in the 2022 Holiday season for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
