Since the initial announcement of Sonic Frontiers from SEGA, some fans of our speedy blue hedgehog have been a bit concerned with their first attempt at an open world game for him. During today’s Nintendo Direct Mini, a new trailer was shown that has definitely brightened hope for the game as they gave us a closer look into the more fascinating aspects that will be offered.
Aside from the colossal enemy unveiled at the end, which definitely had to have turned some heads, we got a quick breakdown of the combat and our first glimpse into a special zone called ‘Cyberspace.’ These zones will have players take on challenges at supersonic speeds and grab keys to progress! These zones definitely look like the type of high-speed activity players were hoping for, but let’s also hope the world is filled out as much as they make it seem like they have done with this new trailer.
Sonic Frontiers is still set to release this 2022 Holiday season on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Personally, I can’t wait to see more about the game and have some high hopes for this one! What are you hoping to see unveiled for this game?
