A gamer is now sitting pretty after doing the right thing and returning some property that was long lost to Blizzard. Khemist49 went to Reddit after purchasing a "box of Blizzard stuff" on eBay as he felt he had accidentally acquired something valuable. That valuable thing ended up being the Gold Master Source Code for Starcraft, which in addition to being loaded with the core game, also had some big Blizzard trade secrets within it.
After being pressured to release it to the public, Khemist49 was swiftly contacted by Blizzard's legal team demanding the return of the property, which had been stolen years earlier. Not wishing to get in legal trouble for something he just bought off of someone, Khemist49 returned the code and was rewarded a free copy of Overwatch as well as $250 in Blizzard currency. Kind of a rip off for something as invaluable as that right? It gets better...
A week or so goes by and Khemist49 again is contacted by Blizzard. Now, in appreciation for his honesty, he's getting an all expenses paid trip to Blizzcon and is going to have some drinks with the Blizzard staff! I'm still not sure it's quite as valuable as that Starcraft master code was to Blizzard, but a much nicer perk than a free game nonetheless. Keep that in mind if you ever stumble into something valuable.
