Look, I’m not here to convince you that EA and Ascendant Studio’s Immortals of Aveum is a perfect game. Far from it actually. The intro and tutorial are incredibly long and drawn out. Some of the writing, character design, and dialogue are cringe. The action takes way to long to open up and some of the story is head-scratching to say the least. Wait, so… why does this game deserve a second chance? Let me tell you.
Because after the first 1-2 hour long intro and tutorials, the game opens up giving you powers that are an absolute blast to play with, graphics that are second to none, and the characters, story, and world building start to come together. To be honest, this game probably would have been received better if the first 1-2 hours were condensed into 10-20 minutes. I believe that Immortals deserves a second chance with a ton of patches, fixes, and improvements, these devs deserve your hard earned dollar and a game that is far from cookie cutter fluff in today’s world deserves all the attention it can get.
