Being the sixth installment of the popular franchise, Terminator: Dark Fate will soon be released in theaters on November 1st. In preparation for the launch, the creators of the film have teamed up with The Coalition and brought the Terminator universe into Gears 5. They started with an in-game character pack featuring the T-800, playable on the swarm side, and Sarah Connor, playable on the C.O.G. side. The character pack was available as a pre-order bonus, and still is available with the purchase of either the Ultimate edition of Gears 5, or the Ultimate Game Pass. Fast forward a month and now we have a second character pack and an in-game horde event based on the movie. The second character pack features Rev-9 and Grace from the upcoming film. The horde event pits you and four others against a mix of T-800s, Trackers, and Kestrels for twenty rounds. If you manage to complete the challenges introduced with this event, you will earn a banner, mark, and blood-spray themed after the movie. The Terminator: Dark Fate horde event goes from October 15th - October 28th, so you have just under a week to reap those in-game rewards. Do you have what it takes to survive an onslaught of T-800s?
