Gears Tactics has gone gold! For those of you that are not sure what this means, “going gold” is the approval for the Gold Master Copy of the game. In other words, the game is shippable, or ready to release in its current state. To celebrate, The Coalition has decided to collaborate with Luke Preece, whom they have worked with before, to release a special edition Gabe Diaz design.
The design is similar to his work for the promotion of Gears 5 and is modeled after the protagonist of Gears Tactics, Gabe Diaz. The artwork is only available on T-shirts at select retailers for now, but who is to say that we won’t see this design elsewhere? Maybe another Rockstar collaboration… please?
Gears Tactics releases later this month on April 28th. Pre-orders are available now and include some pretty sweet incentives. Pre-ordering the game anywhere will grant players the “Thrashball Cole” Character Pack, and those that choose to pre-order the game on Steam will receive a 15% discount on the game.
