Just as R.L Stine did for me throughout my childhood by reading the countless books in the Goosebumps series, players can be introduced to the horror genre with the newly released game Goosebumps: Dead of Night! This playable representation of the soft-core horror franchise has been developed and published by Cosmic Forces. While they plan to launch on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch around June 19th, it is already available for the Xbox One.
If you are new to the horror genre and looking for a way to get into it, I have always suggested starting with Goosebumps and now gamers can do the same thing. Providing a three chapter long experience, full of hiding from monsters, solving puzzles, and facing your fears, this adventure is going to be a strange but crazy ride. Given that the book series always had some interesting tales full of family-friendly horror scenes, you are in for a haunted house style of scares.
