It’s been just about two years since we have heard anything from DONTNOD on their upcoming title Twin Mirror. During the PC Game Show, the team shared with us a brand new teaser for the game that goes over the story and shares glimpses of some intense moments we can expect to come across in this title. Seeing how this title is coming from the same team that made both Life Is Strange and Vampyr, we will be looking at a strange journey full of details in the lore.
While this news doesn’t give us too much more related to the story than we got in the previous announcement at the end of 2018, we did learn of a few changes in the details behind the making of the title. This news includes the fact that they have partnered with Epic Games, meaning that the PC version of the game will be exclusively on their platform, which gives them the chance to self-publish instead of working with a publisher. Also, they have partnered with Shibuya Productions as their new co-producer. Even so, they didn’t drop Bandai Namco completely as they will still be working with them to have the console versions of the game distributed.
We still don’t have a release date yet since the team is looking at these new partnerships as an opportunity to provide their full creative vision for Twin Mirror. But at least we know that they are still actively working on this intriguing title and that it stands a much better chance now to become an amazing title. I am looking forward to seeing it published on PC via Epic Games, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One; hopefully, later this year. Until then, check out the new teaser for yourself:
