With the first open beta session happening this weekend, Turtle Rock Studios and Warner Bros Games have released a new trailer for Back 4 Blood. In the short trailer, we get reminded of the reasons to check out this new take on the developer’s classic series Left 4 Dead. Those who are gaining first access to the open beta through pre-orders will also get a bonus Fort Hope Elite Weapon Skin Pack.
Remember, this first open beta weekend, taking place August 5-9, will only be giving access to those who have pre-ordered the game already and the handful of players that were given access after registering. There will be a second open beta weekend, taking place August 12-16, that will be available to all players interested in trying out the Co-op and PvP game modes. The open beta will be available on all the same platforms the game will release on this October 12th; PC via Steam and Epic Games, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Regardless of what platform you plan to play on, have fun fighting with or against friends with cross-play and cross-gen. The open beta will have that integrated along with the following features:
Two maps for the “Swarm” PvP mode
Two co-op maps to fight off Ridden with your friends
Play as Mom for the first time, as well as other Cleaners: Evangelo, Holly, Walker, and Hoffman
Play as six different Ridden variants in “Swarm,” including the Bruiser, Retch, Hocker, Exploder, Crusher, and Stinger
Various weapons to check out, cards to build decks, and Ridden to slay
