Viewers of Xbox’s 20/20 online showcase had to wait until the very end before they could feast their eyes on some Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay, or so they thought. Although there didn’t appear to be any footage from a player’s gameplay perspective (which I will admit was kind of bothersome), there was plenty of footage shown of the game running on the Xbox Series X engine, and man does it look good.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla closed out the gameplay showcase portion of the Inside Xbox livestream and opened up the dev interview half of the online event. To kick things off, we got to hear from the game’s creative director, Ashraf Ismail expand on what we had been shown in the gameplay trailer, as well as talk about what we can expect from other aspects of the game when it launches later this year.
You can find the interview above.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is scheduled for a Holiday 2020 release, alongside the Xbox Series X later this year.
