Ghost of Yotei is set to release on Ocotber 2nd, 2025 exclusively for the PS5/PS5 Pro. The game continues the theme of a lone swordsman embarking on a journey of revenge set by Ghost of Tsushima back in 2020. WIth a brand new protagonist, setting, and time period, Yotei already looks like another great PlayStation exclusive sequel that fans should absolutely play.
Ghost of Yotei just finished its exclusive State of Play and in it we learned about a lot of new features in the game, such as brand new weapons. Atsu is capable of using a greater number of weapons versus Jin Sakai, as she is able to use Katana, Dual Katana, Kusarigama, Odachi, Spear, Bow, and, Rifle.
In addition, there is a greater emphasis on the play style where players can now play stealthily, ranged, and even aggressively up-close combat.
With a number of cinematic modes modeled after famous Japanese movies as well, the variety of ways to play the game is easily one that fans will thoroughly enjoy.
In addition, players can have a choice of whether they play the game with Japanese or English audio with proper lip sync to match for each version.
Overall, the State of Play does a great job of telling fans that Sony still has one more exclusive for the year that fans should get excited for, and I know I am waiting eagerly to play the game.
