Yo Joe! The G.I Joe franchise is getting a new video game titled G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout! It’s being created by an indie developer named IguanaBee and is slated to release on consoles on October 13th. The last time we received a game from the franchise was 2009’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra which released alongside the critically panned film.
Operation Blackout is a third-person experience that allows the player to explore a story told from both sides. You'll get to play as both your favorite Joes and Cobra characters. There’ll be a roster comprised of 12 characters in total and 17 campaign missions to play through. You also have an arsenal of almost 20 weapons at your disposal and a bunch of character abilities. The game features local co-op for the campaign missions as well as 4 player local PvP matches.
G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout releases on October 13th for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
