After playing through the hellish night that took place in Daymare 1998, finding out the truth behind how it all began is definitely an interesting concept. It seems Invader Studios thought so too and so they have decided to make the next game in their series a prequel. Recently announced by their publisher, Leonardo Interactive, we can now look forward to Daymare 1994: Sandcastle!
From the announcement trailer and description, it seems they aren’t going to do the multiple character approach and are rather going to have you experience the whole game as a single character. So, step into the shoes of special agent Dalila Reyes, a former government spy now in the service of a unit called H.A.D.E.S. (Hexacore Advanced Division for Extraction and Search), and get ready to enter the most advanced experimental research center in the United States of America.
Daymare 1994: Sandcastle isn’t set to release until 2022, but it will be on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. But that means we have to wait almost a year before we can explore the labyrinthine depths of the military research center and see what terrifying, lethal awaits us.
