Last month, Goosebumps: Dead of Night was released on Xbox One (June 12th), PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam (June 19th). Nintendo fans are now able to play it, as it’s become available for the Switch as of July 20th. Now everyone can join in on the nostalgia trip! Goosebumps series as a whole is a very family-friendly venture into the horror genre, so I’d expect nothing less from the game.
The game is an expanded version of a mobile VR game that was released in 2015 titled, Goosebumps: Night of Scares, with improvements to the graphics and additional locations. In the game, you’ll find yourself in classic locations as well as coming face to face with its classic monsters. The game itself is based on the 2015 film, which featured Jack Black who portrayed both the author R.L. Stine and the lovable ventriloquist doll, Slappy. Black is back, as he does voice work for both characters in the game as well.
