Players looking for a new sci-fi world to explore should check out the latest game coming from Whiteboard Games. Working with publisher Gameforge, they are about to release I See Red, a gritty, top-down rogue-lite shooter with a fast-paced and frantic story of rage and revenge.
The world is bleak in this dichromatic rogue-lite, with only flashes of crimson breaking up its stark black and white aesthetic. Your enemies are skilled and strong, but you’re even better. Get up close and personal by using your grappling hook and pulling yourself towards them. Chase them down with your guns. Execute them with your bare hands. Upgrade yourself with new passive skills. And should one of your foes get lucky, your more adept and powerful clone will return to finish the job.
Set in the year 2621, players take on the role of an outlaw traveling the infinite depths of space, searching for those who have wronged you to dish out the ultimate punishment. Your view of the world is consumed by wrath as the targets of your retribution appear in a deathly red, while the rest of the world around you fades to gray. Consumed by anger, everything that surrounds you can be destroyed—ship hardware, furniture, and most importantly, enemies. Uncover a host of diverse weaponry, augments, skills, and abilities to lay waste to your foes as brutally as they deserve.
I See Red is set to launch on October 24th for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. A console launch is planned to follow the initial release as well. Interested players can try the free demo available now on Steam before the game is released later this month.
