While most games look into providing some sort of event to get their players playing, Warner Bros Games and Turtle Rock Studios had a different idea in mind. Instead of a winter event, Back 4 Blood is getting a massive December update that brings a ton of free content, fixes, and cosmetics to the players! This is including a solo offline campaign mode with progression, limited-time holiday-themed in-game content, new cards and card type, and many other quality of life changes.
Probably one of the biggest requests I’ve heard from the community myself has been the desire for a single-player option for the campaign. Now players have that and it is decked out with the ability to earn supply points, achievements, and other unlockables. Plus, all progression can be carried over to and from the online campaign mode.
Another awesome update is the introduction of “Roving Merchants” which are rotating, time-limited, supply lines that provide players with more rewards to spend Supply Points on. For instance, the “34th Street” Roving Merchant, players can unlock seasonal character skins, weapon skins, emblems, and sprays. This holiday-specific track allows players to obtain reindeer antlers headband for Holly, snow hat for Doc, and other in-game gear to celebrate the holidays, all of which is perfectly complemented by festive decorations displayed around Fort Hope.
