The darkest bayou is now celebrating the holiday season with a new event for hunters to take advantage of. Crytek and Prime Matter have announced their holiday plans for Hunt: Showdown and it begins with an event for all players to enjoy called ‘Winter Solstice.’ This event is all they are offering this year. But let’s start with the part everybody can enjoy first.
During this live event, players have until January 5th to rack up to 10,000 points in order to earn all available rewards. To gain points, players must destroy Solstice Tributes that can be found around the map, as well as investigate clues, rifts, and looting hunter corpses. They can even get event point boosters called Chary’s Contracts that will aid event point collection and Dark Sight range.

Legendary Quad Derringer ‘Evergreen’
Legendary Fire Bomb ‘Spirit of Yule’
Legendary Winfield 1873 Swift ‘Mountain King’
Legendary Cavalry Saber ‘Corvus’
For players that want a little more this holiday season, Hunt: Showdown is offering a new DLC called ‘The Lawless’ which features Legendary Hunter ‘The Gunslinger’ and Legendary Weapons Winfield M1873 Aperture ‘The Accomplice’ and the Scottfield Revolver ‘Felon’s Six.' The live event and DLC are available on all platforms, so it is really up to the player how much of the dark winter they want to attend in the bayou.
