Yesterday came the announcement that Milestone and Mattel would be releasing an awesome new racing game called, Hot Wheels: Unleashed! It’s yet another racing game from Milestone, whose latest title, Monster Energy Supercross 4 releases on March 11th. The Hot Wheels brand has been pretty much MIA for the last console generation with the exception of the Forza Horizon 3 DLC content. This new title hopes to bring the best Hot Wheels racing experience to ever exist in game form. We all had a box filled with these little cars back in the day and I’m just hoping that it really captures the imagination and creativity that made playing with the toys so fun.
Hot Wheels: Unleashed will offer gamers a plethora of single-player and multiplayer modes both online and offline, including split-screen! There’s going to be a large number of vehicles for players to use at their disposal, offering different attributes and levels in rarity. These vehicles will be customizable as well with different skin variations. One aspect that I’m most excited about is the maps to race in. They're going to be inspired by everyday-life locations to really make you feel like a tiny car in a huge world. There will also be a Track Editor which will allow you to edit and create courses to share online with the game’s community.
Hot Wheels: Unleashed is available for pre-order and is scheduled to release on September 30th, 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
